So much mud!
This is really not the best time of year to be doing to be digging foundations or removing top-soil for any construction work. With the recent rains its amazing how fast our site has turned into a see of thick sticky mud. Mike is doing his best to work in a logical flow so that he doesnt have to keep taking the digger back over the same patch too much but its not easy.
In the last week he has managed to complete a lot of the basic groundwork:
- prepare the turning circle and
- drill drainage holes through the surface clay layer wherever we need them.
- excavate the hole for the sump
- level and prep the foundation for the main tank ready for the concrete to be poured in
Great progress but we dont dare go near without our wellies.
