Tray of 3 or 6 plants

Native biennial. You will probably have seen this dramatic native hedgerow plant at roadsides but it is also good in gardens. Self seeds but is easily weeded out if you get the when they are small, otherwise plant in a 'wildlife area' or in grass where weeding is not a problem. Purple flower spikes 1.5m high in August then it leaves beautiful seed heads all winter. Bumblebees really love them.

Dramatic spiky purple flowers 180cm high. Plant in grass/meadow area (or seedlings get everywhere). Plant 50cm apart in sun
